Comet Machholz tests SJAA Website Capacity

As you can see in the graphic on the left, SJAA website hits sharply spiked in early January. The cause was Comet Machholz. Or more specifically, it was Don Machholz's excellent article in the October 2004 issue of the Ephemeris. On January 5, the Astronomy Picture of the Day posted a striking image of Comet Machholz. The first link in the caption pointed to Don Machholz' article. This chart summarizes the web server activity for sjaa.net during January. Thanks to Morris Jones, not only for bringing this to our attention but most importantly, for his exceptional skills with hosting our website.
